I have been using AMSOIL for about 12 years now. If your car is new, you use regular oil for about 3,000 - 5,000 miles to allow your engine to break-in properly. After that use AMSOIL flush and change your oil using the proper AMSOIL for your vehicle. (most AMSOIL dealers have the books where they can look up your vehicle to suggest the proper oil, oil filter, air filter, transmission fluid, gear oil for the rear end and grease. AMSOIL is a full synthetic oil that will handle higher temperatures without carbonizing and causing sludge in your engine. Your engine will run cooler, and the oil sticks to your parts therefore elimating "dry starts". AMSOIL filters are the best you can buy, they filter down to 5 microns and keep small particles from settling in other parts of your engine. I had my engine checked at 150,000 miles by a mechanic and the compression was within 5-10 psi of the original amount when i bought the car. AMSOIL claims you can run this oil for 25,000 miles. I do not really agree with that. I believe that you can run longer than regular petroleum oils but you need to monitor the color and condition of the oil to determine when you need to change the oil. Some people take an oil sample to a local lab to have an analysis done. There are some that build race engines that cost $50,000 plus that use AMSOIL for the superior protection. In summary I use AMSOIL for superior protection, cooler running engine, less wear and a slight improvement on fuel mileage....

P.S. I am not a AMSOIL dealer
