Default Oil Filter Question

It is for an 06 IS350..wondering what is the difference with aftermarket oil filters and OEM toyota air filters?? would using non-toyota/OEM oil filter affect the engine or the car?? thanks!!

If you are going to use an aftermarket filter, i would just be sure to use a name brand, high quality filter. Essentially, both an OEM filter and an aftermarket filter do the same thing, some better or worse than others. If you have any doubt, just stick with an OEM filter. At least you know its a tried, true tested filter that the manufacturer stands behind.
