99 LS400 sway control question
Without sacrificing ride quality, is there a way to get some of the sideways wind and pavement sway/floating out? I'm not interested in major changes or spending lots of cash. Tall order?
Thank you.

assuming your shocks/struts are in good shape, you could definitely get rid of some of the sway by first making sure the existing bushings are in good condition, and second, look into larger diameter sway bars... sway bars only control side to side sway and not up and down ride quality (for the most part)... Not sure if a larger sway bar would help you as much as you want it to, but they definitely wouldn't hurt...

Addco makes rears some for the 95-97 but another owner who bought one ended up having to redrill the mounting holes since the original ones were so off.

bushings... well, all of them...
start with sway bar bushings (they're cheap) and directly affect your issue, and then just check the rest of the bushings... control arms upper and lower, front and rear...

Ok, I'll get a look at the bushings you mention. The car does not do the spongy bouncing usually felt with bad shocks. I don't have "V" tires on, how much difference would be noticed between them and "H" tires?
Thank you.

That is something I missed mentioning... on average, the sidewall of an H rated tire is noticeable softer than that of a V rated tire... With that in mind, the tire will roll over more during cornering... Not recommended to downgrade in performance ratings like that at all... safety, handling, etc is all compromised...
