How to flush radiator
Hi.
I just purchased a 92 ES300 with 137K and would like to do a radiator flush. I am somewhat car savvy but have never performed a radiator flush. I was not able to find an instruction on this (maybe too easy?) on this forum but I did find many generic instructions on the web. Is the procedure pretty much the same? Can someone direct me to an article specific to ES300? Also, what coolant is recommend for this vehicle? I am guessing the Toyoto long life (red stuff)? Thanks!

There are three valves to open for the drain, one on each bank of the block and one on the radiator.
Considering the age of your ES, replacing the coolant with Toyota Red and distilled water would be the recommended route, instead of upgrading to the Toyota pink premixed coolant.
This red was the original fill..
If you decide to, I would flush the system with steam distilled water only, rather than using the municipal water.
For your reference, this post was my coolant change ... https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=147551
The ES300 and RX300 use the same engine.
