Spark Plug TIP
#1
Hi , just wanted to share with nayone who installed
their own plugs on a Early Gen. LS400.
As you know, the plugs installs way down the manifold
before it starts the threads. My problem is that I never
know/feel if the threads are "cross-threaded" or not.
I guess I am paranoid about it.
Anyhow,
I used a small diameter vacuum rubber hose to install them.
1) Slip the hose over the tip of the spark plug.
2) Slip the plug down the " tunnel " until it contacts.
3) Turn the hose by hand and the plug threads will start.
4) After the plug is seated, pull the hose out and tighten
with the spark plug socket/wrench.
5) Works great for me.
