pros and cons
can u guys tell me the pros and cons of having my lex repaired at a dealership v. on the side by a mechanic, even if that mechanic works for a dealer? i am thinking one is that the dealer will give a warranty. any others?

the dealership will probably charge more money.. do you know this mechanic guy personally?
better yet.. if you can, try to do it yourself.. you'll obviously learn more about your car

i am new to my area and don't know
any local mechanics personally.
i keep hearing of one from a dealership but he's hard to get in touch with. i don't think i can keep letting the pwr steering pump ruin my alternator so i may have to go with the dealer this time.
