Does the 97 SC400 have two cabin filters?

Default Does the 97 SC400 have two cabin filters?

The reason I am asking is that it is not clear in previous posts.
Also, if there are two filters, do they both fit up into the same slot?
Why didnt they just make one filter that fits up there?

By the way, I am going to make a filter, but some folks mention charcoal, is this what is stock on the SC400?

Yes it is comprised of two filters that snap together and slide into place. For a pic of the filter and it's removal and install procedure, w/pics - see the excellent information available on the planet soarer website. Incidentally the filter is not charcoal and instead resembles the same white gauze-like material used in the factory air filters:

Not flaming ya, but why would you go through the trouble of making a filter???Just buy one. They're about $50 total, and you don't have to replace them that often...
