Leak Fest
I took my 92 es300 113K to change the front engine mount and here's what the lex tech find out:
1.valve cover gasket leak
2. cam seals leak
3. rear main seal leak
4. transmission pan leak
5. advise PS & AC Belt change
The timing belt was changed at 68K, should i change all belts then?
Which ones should i do first ?
I did the cover gasket few months ago and now it leaks again, what gives?
Can i do the cam seals myself? is it hard?
How much am i looking at for all things seperately?
sorry guys, i'm just really upset

If all of that leaking was all tha bad, you would have certainly noticed it messing up your garage, drive way or whatever. Sounds like to me you have a mechanic ready to make some money. Did he change your engine mount? I have an LS400 and the timing belt needs to be changed in the 100K mile region and the belts should last a lot longer than that. I lived with a leaky power steering system for several years, instead of paying $1200, and it finally pretty much quit leaking on it's own--NO, I did replace the fluid! Good luck on this stuff, have a beer and calm down--hell, an oil leak is not life or death. That's why the British never built TVs--they couldn't make them leak oil!

Yes. I drove the LFA.

Id start with the little stuff first... trans pan, valve covers... and if the leaks are still large after that, then dive into the cam seals and front crank seal... might as well do the tbelt at the same time, you're already in it. the real main seal would come last, as its the most expensive... and the other leaks might be making it hard to tell if it is actually leaking bad. start small... dont fret it one thing at a time and it'll all get sorted out

thanks guys, i actually cannot see the leaks in my drive way. i can see little oil residue near the cams. I check my oil and transmission everyother day now. yes, the lex tech changed my front engine mount, it was cracked, i changed the dogbone myself. I just hate it when mechanics take advantage of women
