Removing LX570 rear Bumper tow cover
Does anyone have specific instructions on how to remove the LX570 plastic rear bumper tow hitch cover to expose the receive for the tow hitch? Thank you!

There are 2 black push pins on the bottom edge that need to be pulled, I use a small screwdriver to lift the head is the tab. Then you need to push the cover from the inside to get it to come off. Be careful on the 4 feet tabs on the cover. This thing is difficult to store trying not to break the 'feet' off.
I have always layed down on my side near the bumper to see what I am doing. Easy to do once you figure it out.
I liked the design on the cover on my LX470 much better and you didn't have to worry about breaking the tabs on the cover since there weren't any there.

Are you sure the wiring does not exist for the lights. All of my LX units have an outlet way to the right of the hitch under the back of the LX. You might need an adapter but it should be wired and ready to go!

For the life of me I couldn't see one, but will have a fresh look at it tomorrow, I hope your correct, however American models may differ to the LX sent to OZ, which is where I am. Many thanks again.

Does that black pin work like the ones on the plastic covering the engine?

And depending on what year your LX is, you'll have one or two pins. My 2013 has two near the outer edges of the cover, while my 2010 has one central pin. It's much easier getting the one off so I always use the 2010 for any towing or bike racks.

Same here, but the first time I looked for mine I missed it 'cause compared to the LX470 it is almost in back of the right rear tire and deeper away from the bumper. With the cap over the opening it is easy to miss on a quick glance (at last IMHO )
