Hi everyone,

Just wanted to share the news that my wife and I decided to trade our GX for a 2010 LX. The deal was closed this past Tuesday, and at this point, color and delivery date are TBD.

We considered the new GX and took it out for a drive (I posted a detailed review of our impressions in that forum), but the price tag and cargo space made the LX a better buy in our opinion. We are very excited!

Looking to trade in GX, and I am not trilled with the new GX model.

I just closed on a new LX today and it is 5% off of MSRP. That is good for my area. I got a White with Tan interior. Has the DVD, ML, Luxury Value package, Glass Break, Remote start.

Very nice, congratulations! I am getting the exact same as you minus the Glass Break plus the Preferred Acc Pkg and in black. I have a trade, so that muddles the numbers a bit, but I'm at roughly 6% off sticker - same ballpark as you.

Does your dealer have yours? Getting mine has been like pulling teeth. The Lexus allocation process and their logistics are far from the 21st century. Communication (even Lexus-to-dealer) is virtually non-existent, and delivery information is hard to come by and unreliable when you do get it. Mine was supposed to arrive last weekend, and it took three days (until yesterday) for my salesman to tell me that they had arbitrarily pushed delivery out a week. All after multiple phone calls and voicemails, so I can't say I'm too happy right now. This is the one area where Lexus could learn something from the Germans.

Also, ML was a no-charge option for 2010 LX models. However, Lexus started charging for it this year, so my price went up since we did all the paperwork in January. Naturally, Lexus did not notify anyone, so nobody knew anything... Really wondering if I want to stick with Lexus next time around. The waiting per se does not bother me, but the time wasted dealing with misinformation and the aggravation do. We went through this once before with our GS350, and it is getting old.

Anyway, rant off... I'm hoping delivery will go well (whenever the LX decides to arrive), and I'll forget about this.

Congrats! I am going to look at your GX post since the wife is pounding me to look at one for her to replace her Navigator. Seems to me that the size is the limiting factor.

I took delivery on Friday on my new LX!!! It is a very sweet ride and my wife loves it. Based on the first few days very satsified with the car. I like it better then my escalade that we traded in. Overall ride is much smoother and I like the interior better as well.
