Wind Noise in my LX470
good day... i just took delivery of a 1998 LX470 and am very impressed - it's like cruising around in a yacht! great ride, very smooth and quiet engine, great stereo, though the cd player is somewhat prone to skipping, etc.
however, on the drive home from the dealership i noticed some very distinct wind noise coming in from the passenger side towards the windshield... all the windows were completely raised, the moonroof sealed, and the doors shut tightly... is there a seal which commonly needs cleaning or replacement in these cars?
thanks for all the help,
scott

Was the windshield ever replaced?
Check to see if the front windshield was ever replaced. Perhaps you can tell by looking at the mouldings and maybe by the stamping on the glass. See if its the original lexus glass or aftermarket. Somtimes a poor install can cause unwanted wind noise.
If the moldings look flush, and properly seated, check other parts of the car, including the roof rack. Hope this helps, not sure what else it could be.
Good luck,
Jay
