help with '99 double DIN install
Guys:
I read the forums and found the resources with the wiring schematics but I am stuck. I bought a Pioneer AVIC X940BT unit with Nav. Since it's a '99, no harness adapter. I've gone with the basics -
hot all times - used pin 1. pin 2 also is hot all times, not sure why.
switched hot - used 10 (gray) accy
ground - used 11 brown
illumination - 13
antenna - 5
then just the 4 speakers. power up the unit, there is "hiss" and pushing a button has an audible "beep" that is super loud. seems like the head unit is too hot for the amp. i haven't pulled the seat yet to look into it, I assume that I'll have to bypass that as well? Any way to take the output power down on the head unit with tearing into a whole separate section of truck?
