HUD Question: White under Speed Indeicator
I noticed there is a white line horizontally below the current speed indicator (numbers) on the HUD. It looks like a faded crooked line and not has sharp as the other images on the HUD? Is anyone seeing this issue? The white faded line is like a long underline where the current speed is and next to the MPH. See picture.

Ok... So... Everyone else has the issue. Mine started out small and has grown over the last month. The dealership told me the projector was bad and they are going to replace it. IF everyone has the line, then I think I will have them NOT rip the dash out and replace it.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but this line is not normal. Why is it there? It serves no purpose, and it is not even straight. Maybe Lexus sells so little of these vehicles that they will not admit it is a problem because you will have to basically rip out the dash to replace a new HUD. This is disappointing for a car of this caliber.

I looked in the manual, and the illustrated picture has this line too, but it is straight. What is this white line for? Does it turn red when you exceed the speed limit like the new BMW HUD, or does it get shorter when you are nearing your destination when you have NAV on?

I would not agree and and as they all have it, it IS normal, both my new LX and RX show the same. It does not change color, get longer or shorter, dance to the music . . it is just there. Much bigger things to worry about, but I guess that is what these forums are for.
