Is she reasonable or wishful thinking?
Very unlikely, but you may be able to get $78K + tax/tag/fees

$93,574 MSRP. They will sell for 75.6xx + TTL. Do you think that is the bottom link on a new leftover 15' LX570?

Even for $15K below sticker price, I wouldn't buy the 2015 LX. 1. The 2016 is significantly improved. 2. The 2015 LX will be worth about $70K once you drive it off the lot. At $20K below sticker it starts to make sense. Remember, this body style came out in 2008. So a 2015 body style is 8 years old. (You're pretty much buying 2008 technology) That's old for a car these days.

I agree. I looked at a 2014, and it was exactly the same as a 2015 down to the options.Currently, a leftover 15' is only 18K below sticker.

i don't know what you mean by body style but even the 2016 is still based on the same chassis and body style. but if you are talking about the design details and features then i agree

..and that makes the '16 styling 9 years old.

Looking at the body and ignoring technology for a minute, the only noticeable changes are the coke-bottle front end and a bit on the rear end.

Newer tech goodies are definitely there, but for some reason(s) they don't seem nearly as new as those of Toyota's competitors.

The big navi screen, and blindspot monitor on the '16 are definite plus, but the remote joystick is a big step backwards IMHO. It's sad that there are no more touchscreen navis on Lexus from 2016. I absolutely HATE that joystick...

Default Feb 2015 LX Data Point

Unsure what the current incentives are, but on 1 Feb I purchased a 2015 LX for 16.1K off of MSRP. Not reflected in the sticker price was tint, pin stripes, and 2 extra free service visits to 20K which was probably worth about a grand. Another dealer in the state offered to match that price. Hope this helps for folks still looking.

Question, are LX's usually discounted this much after a year, or are 2015's discounted this much now because of the 2016 redesign?

These large discounts of over 15% of MSRP are due to the 2016 redesign.

Thanks, I was wondering if that was the norm. We were quoted 82K for a 2015, but, when I found out it did not have blinds spot monitor or rear cross traffic alert, I was not interested. They offered me 2k off a 2016, that is with 1k military discount. We decided to wait until end of year or next year, but, if they normally don't drop price as much, we may move forward. We'll see. I was curious the experience of past LX owners.

Help me understand why someone shopping for an LX or Land Cruiser would pick a GX.

Two very different suv's. I look at the GX and see a vehicle designed for Japan, the UK, and other drive-to-the-left countries. You'll obviously end up with a completely different drive train.

To each his own--- I went from touch screen on an LS and an LX to the 2016 Joystick and really like it-- the only way to do it with the big wide panoramic touch screen on the 2016 LX--- maybe an optional butler to sit in the passenger seat and push buttons on the far side of the screen would work-- but otherwise it is joystick as the only solution.
