OEM brake pads or Aftermarket?
What's your OP and why? Please refrain from "just because its Lexus" because there are many aftermarket manufacturers that produce like and some superior pads than that of OEM Lexus pads. Reason I ask is I am in the market for new pads and I would like to see what other people with the same truck with with and their happiness level. Thanks.

Standard Toyota branded pads - they don't throw a lot of dust and I like the way they feel. They are soft and do require more frequent changing than some of the aftermarket pads. You can find them online for about half of what the dealers charge.

I have to work on keeping a vehicle long enough to consider changing pads.

So I ordered the OEM pads and OEM rotors from a dealer online (rear set up $210). Just out of curiosity I called the local dealer to inquire as to the cost of the same parts and labor for the rear pads and rotors. I was quoted $530. Overall, I am happy with the decision to do it myself. Plus I plan to paint (not spray) the calipers while I have it apart. I will take some before and after shots once I get started next weekend.
