Default Urgent please: my car is disabled

I somehow inserted a blank 8GB DVD into my nav dvd slot (glivebox) after removing the oem vav dvd of course but then i was not able to remove the blank dvd at all.

I googled and some guy suggested to disconnect the battery which I did but upon starting the car a message appeared "A program cannot be read please contact a dealer" with some japanese script

Now my car would start but no audio can be played, AC cannot be operated even the physical buttons in dashboard cannot start audio or AC, same for all cameras

Please anyone has a quick fix? my dealer only opens next monday this week and we were supposed to go on a trip this weekend i guess will have to take our Avalon in this case

No doubt your dealer will have to reprogram.

Why did you stick a black disk in the unit?

Dunno man thats what you get when you multitask while on the phone

In one of the sites couple guys said something about touching corners of screen (ghost buttons there they say) then this will force the ecu to reset and eject the dvd which then you can put back the oem one and thinks will work again .. i did but nothing happened

I know my LX470 had "secret" place you could touch on the screen to do all kind of stuff but have not seen this on the LX570 and I have owned 4 of them!

Sorry to hear of this. However, I am a bit confused, as LX570 has HDD-based NAV system. Thus, the system should not be "booting" off a DVD anywhere.

Where did you insert this disc again? Do you have a 470 and posted here by mistake?

Again, I have no idea what vehicle you are driving, but here's something I found, in lexusownersclub, for a similar situation. I hope it helps.

This one can't help when you see "Cannot read the program, please see the dealer" and "some Japanese language". But there is a fix that I discovered on some other site.

Press Menu button (even you see "Cannot read the program, please see the dealer") Then on the screen with ("Cannot read the program, please see the dealer") hit upper screen corner, the place where "DVD Map" button suppose to be, it will not be there, just hit the spot. Then hit the bottom left corner of the same screen the place where "Eject DVD" button suppose to be. And the magic happens (at least it happened on my) disk ejects. I did it with engine running, and not sure if ignition only is enough. Use your DVD NAV users guide if you don't remember the location of soft buttons, I just visualized where they should be and it worked fine.

Update:-

dealer charged $190 and fixed the issue by manually dismanteling the dvd device and taking the blank dvd then put the oem one in and things are working

Glad it got resolved. This "method" is the alternative to the hidden button fix according to most folks posting. There is, apparently, no mechanical DVD release on any of these units.

Separately, not to beat a dead horse, I am still intrigued by the presence of a DVD. I have a 2010 LX570 as well, and this is why I am puzzled.

Okay so I made some research and apparently in US & Canda the LX comes with HDD, but for us here (GCC arabian gulf) it comes with DVD type ..

But the learning I got from this is that the NAV ecu unit (and propably the nav DVD itself as well) has more than just the navigation maps. It seems there are also some OS files which if you disconnect the battery the hole screen and the buttons below it will not work. Beware when & why you disconnect your battery in an LX.

Back to the hidden or ghost buttons, I have my doubts the dealer did not phsically dismantel the vav unit to fix my car and probably used these hidden buttons, but he kept the car overnight or maybe that's to make me think they deserve the $190
