Price advice on 08 LX570?
In the market for an 08 LX and hoping someone in the group has purchased recently or has some guidance. I'm looking for something with 40-60k miles, and I'm flexible on options. Looks like most listings on Autotrader are in the mid to upper $40ks. I think I trust Edmunds, and they list one with 45k miles as about $40k for dealer retail and $43k certified. Clearly there's a disconnect between listings and Edmunds. Who's closer to reality? I know these are rare and command a premium, but what are my chances of getting one at edmunds pricing? If Edmund's trade-in value($35k) is to be believed, the dealer has $10k or more to move within. Even if I cut that in half, the dealer could still come down a few k and still make a few as well.
Found a fairly-loaded example with about 45k miles for $45k. Do you think I could get them closer to $41k? Thanks for your advice!

I would worry more about maintenance record and condition than price. I have an 09 with 80K that has been dealer serviced - bought it 3 years ago with 47K on the clock - and it is still looks / runs as new.
You should be looking for (in my opinion) an immaculate example, low miles, and a verified maintenance record at a lexus dealer. Was the 30K service done - oil changes every 5K, etc.? Any body work? Clean CarFax?
Know that you are likely going to have to pay a bit more for a vehicle that is far above the average 2008....
If your "fairly loaded example" has all of those things I mentioned above, $45 might be a fair price. If it does not - keep looking.

Condition rules the day. I just paid $41K for a 2009 with 73K on it. It was pristine. A couple $ thousand either way and I still would have bought it, as it was in the condition I was looking for.
Buy for condition - a few months from now, you won't remmber what you paid anyway.
