Strange Sound on 2011
At around 6K Miles on the wifes 2011 LX570 I noticed a ticking sound coming from behind the dash to the left of the steering wheel. This only happens when the car is stationary & in gear, it sounds to me like plastic trim vibrating?
I Took it to the dealer but they are unable to find anything out of the norm.
Just wondered if anyone has experienced this or has any ideas?
Thanks,
Paul

A friend had a similar issue on his 2011 LX. A dealer replaced blower's shutter on the left side of the console below the glass.
However, I did not have any such problems on my 2010 LX. Strange....

I don't think it's a climate control issue as I can shut that off & still hear it.
When I put the car in park from drive it stops so I am thinking it's more engine related?

I hit a deer a month ago, and when I got my '09 LX back I noticed that same noise. Turns out that the body shop botched the job so it's being re-repaired, but hopefully when it comes back the noise will be fixed too.

Found it!!!!
My son & I were topping off the vehicles with windsheild washer yesterday & figured we'd check the LX570 even though we'd just had the 1st oil change about 3 weeks ago.
Popped the hood & upon inspection noticed the plastic trim was missing a screw & the others were loose. I guess it' was'nt secured after the oil change.
Returned the car to the dealership where they assured me it will be put right.
Guess next time I'll check but I figured they knew what they were doing!!!
On the upside it's nothing major & my wife is looking forward to getting her car back.
Thanks for all who responded,
Paul
