2008 Lx570
Hey guys!
I've been searching and researching and lurking these forums for a while with no posts. Hoping, wishing, waiting for the new 570 to show itself and had the opportunity to see a white one in person today. Was at the dealership and just came off the truck for a buyer who previously spoke for it.
Overall I believe that Lexus did a great job with the SUV. The rear was actually very attractive VS the pictures that have been shown lately. Interior is a huge improvement (although I'm not a fan of the cluttered up dash and middle console). Leather seats were supremely soft and preforated finally!
I did not get a chance to drive it but after spending a good 1/2 hour with the car I decided that it was not for me. I took my two names off of the list and am ordering 2 Benz GL550's tomorrow. The LX just did not have any sex appeal to me and for some reason I like the GL! TO each his own I guess.
Thank you for the information and it was fun waiting with you guys. I'm off however to a new type of automobile with different agenda.
PS-I'll post pics of my new S65 when I get a chance! That's a fun car.

Everyone has different tastes and needs that is why there are many choices in the auto industry.
I thank you for the description of the LX570"s interior that is exactly what I was looking in my other test drives , front seat comfort. This will reaffirm my decision toward the LX570. As of yet the new LX has no being sighted in this area.

GL is more masculine looking, so I understand your decision. The styling of the new LX is really a shame in my opinion...all of their new sedans have been such an improvement over previous generations that I think people were expecting the same here. The old LX was macho, masculine, AND elegant. I've got to say that this one looks anything but.
