Can any guys advise me what is the normal petrol consumption rate for LX470. Mine is running very high. Do I need to change certain spare part to get a lower consumption. Thanking in advance for advise

mine is about 14.5 litres/100km mixed highway driving. Way higher in the city, would not even bother calculating - 18, 20, or more?
What is yours? Any particular reason you think it is higher than normal?

I've only had 6 fillups since getting my LX470 in late December and I'm averaging 14.0 MPG per fuelly.com. I use the vehicle around town and on rural roads with only rare sprints on the freeway.

What year is your LX?
I owned a late 90's model, it had the 16 inch rims with locking rear and a hitch. It was rated at that time 12/15 if I remember correctly.
We would typically get 13mpg in mixed driving.

14mpg might be realistic during the winter when you figure in the idling to warm up the engine, inefficiency of the engine when it's cold, etc. During the summer, i'd expect between 15-16mpg driving in towns at speeds < 45mph.

as everyone else mentioned the best you will ever get on this car is about 18mpg..i owned a prius so i drove really like you would drive a prius coasting and etc..never got more than 18..highway..
i average about 12/14 mixed mode driving..hated the prius dont care about gas..

Thanks. The Prius in my driveway may scoff at those MPGs, but the LX is our ride when my GF & I take my grandkids out.
