Driving Position Memory System
I have a 2000 Lexus LX470. For some reason the driving position memory system located on the driver door does not work. Is there a fuse that needs to replaced? Where could i possibly look to fix this problem?

Does it not set or not recall? To set it, the ignition should be on, transmission in P, door closed (I think). To recall, it will work if ignition is in P or if you open the door and push the button within 10-15sec. Does it recall when you have the ignition "on"?
BTW, if you disconnect the battery/power, you will lose all seat memory settings, so it will appear like the recall doesn't work. This happened to me when the tech at the dealer mucked around w/ the DRL fuse in the fuse box on the DS kick panel.

Has anyone found a solution to this problem? I just replaced my battery, and now my driving position memory system doesn't work. I tried resetting it, but it won't reset. Any ideas?

The car needs to be "on" with tranny in "P." Then push the set button a fraction of a second before pushing the # button. Push hard until you hear the "beep."

Mine has been doing the same thing. Intermittent memory working, not working, fuses ok, but main controller always works for now!!! If you look on the left side of the kick panel there is a steering column control box. It's about 4"x4" just above the fuse box. Look up above the fuse box and its labeled.
Anybody on here pull and replace that with positive results???

Mine does exact what you described, except I am not sure what the main controller is.
I am afraid to touch anything to try to fix this.
Anyone who is more mechanically inclined please help!

I don't remember what the manual reads but all you gotta do is hold the SET button for 3-5 seconds then keep pressing the SET button and at the same time press 1 or 2. It'll beep confirming the setting.

'95 SC400: My memory seat control can be set. Car off, I go to the On position with the brake in Park. I set the position. I hear the beeps. I turn off my car for a few seconds and the memory maintains its settings. I turn off my car for a few minutes and it loses the settings. Anyone have any idea of what is going on?
