Hello all, I just finished completing the DVD override MOD on a 2006 LX 470. Here are my notes:

Install:
1) Took off wood panel/trim surrounding radio console carefully (as stated many times in other threads) using a putty knife wrapped in tape.
2) On the 2006 model you have to disconnect two molex type connectors (one for hazard/antenna and one for air bag dial) to be able to remove the wood panel/trim completely
3) Removed the two air ducts via tab on bottom
4) Removed entire NAV/Radio unit via 4 10mm bolts. I used a 4 inch extension with a ratchet to take them in/out. This was by far the most time consuming part of the mod
5) Once removed I cut the violet wire (no stripe) an the red wire (white stripe). I then grounded the red/white wire by stripping back 1/4 inch and connecting to the side of the NAV/RADIO unit (there were already some screws there).
6) Tested unit, re-assembled in reverse order.

From start to finish, probably 30 minutes tops.

Results:
1) DVD now plays on front screen during movement, success.
2) I am NOT able to perform NAV/Bluetooth entries without performing additional (touch button based) override. For some reason I thought this was going to go away as well, but no.
3) So far the NAV & Bluetooth worked fine and tracked properly.

Bonus:
1) While I was in there I found a previously installed VAIS SoundLinQ That explains some of my CD changer confusion lol

I did and it works on my LX-470 2006 Mark Levinson.
In my case are 3 white connectors on top of my nav/stereo console, the wire red w/ a white stripe at pin 16 was easy to identify, but the "violet" wire, is not violet, in my case is between pin and light brown, but i identified it with the pin number "25".

Also, I installed an usa-spec TOY20 to my ipod, and I am not happy at all.
