Nice thread, Crowe, but don't pay that much for brakes...take it somewhere else. You might be able to save a couple hundred bucks someplace else. And you could probably save around $400 if you did it yourself, and it's not that hard of a job to do.

Yup, I second at least having a competent independent do it if you are not able to do it yourself. Plus the aftermarket parts are better than OEM parts. I can tell you from personal experience that the Akebono pads are far superior.

I didn't change my rotors, but in the DIY thread there are recommendations by CL members for better ones, and I would take those recs to the bank!

Thanks Double. While seeking advice, I'm also trying to pay it forward in a correct fashion. Ask questions, have it looked at then report the remedy.
Its funny because as he told me about the brakes and reported the price, I already knew instantly in my mind that there was no way in the world I'd pay that to replace brakes and rotors!

Indeed good Sir! I've read that a good few times as well as Tee directing me towards their product.
Have been given a few rec's for rotors but am currently searching for more options for comparison reasons and just to simply have options.
As always, thanks again!
