Sorry, but the 430 is fugly compared to the 460. I purposely avoided the 430 for that reason when I decided to jump on a Lexus and off my 7 series. Admittedly, I avoided the air suspension, but still....the 430 pales in every other way to the 460 in technology, features and so on. Also, life is not so bright and sunshiny in the 430 forums. Lots of, (in fact MORE), issues there than on the 460 forum.

Your right roadfrog, 430s do have some issues popping up. Of course Lexus built hell of a lot more of them vs the 460 and they have been out of production for about 8 years. Their old and have a lot more miles... Now when you do go and browse around the 430 forum you will notice the issues are significantly more minor and the cost to fix and replace some of the more common parts pale in comparison to the 460. Your argument lacks in any real research and accuracy. You may not like the look of the 430 but to compare the minor problems we face is really ridiculous. I suggest you go back and actually look at what people are experiencing before making inaccurate statements. Just take the control arms as an example. Not only do they last almost always 100k - 150k miles Lexus sells oem bushings to fix the old ones at like $60 each vs people reporting 4k to fix the 460. Again, your argument does not make any sense. My car is 10 years old with 121k and only thing that actual broke in my car is a $5 door lock actuator motor the 1.5 years of ownership / 17k miles I have put on her.

i would call all the dealers in your area until you find one to sell you a VSA, they will sell them even if you do not buy the car from them, just have to search.

A post on how the air suspension works and how you can adjust it on the fly.

In-fact we can now purchase complete third party control arms on EBay for cheap and have any certified mechanic install them. Probably costs 1/6 or less then the cost of the dealership.
Also keep in mind that not all of the LS460s have the bushing issues.
Except for a few new model year growing pains the LS460 may end up being the most reliable and the least costly car to drive in terms of general maintenance/ major service then any before it.
