Run a wire from center console to underneath car?
I'm doing the electric cutout option, and my choices are
1) Muffler shop 1 - will do everything including wiring for $450
2) Muffler shop 2 - will do just the welding for $100, no wiring.
It's a fused 12-14 gauge wire that hooks directly to accessory and a ground wire. A cinch to install myself. However, I'm not sure if there's a grommet or some other spot to run the wire through the floorboard, or if there's a hole/grommet easily accessible near the center console (with the trim piece removed of course).
Surely someone has run lights or something else underneath their car that might know this.
Yes, I've searched. Help me save $350.

i know the trunk has a few but if you wanna save money you do it yourself but dont be surprise if you have someone else do it and they half *** it then dont get upset. I would search around and see the closest you can get to your cutouts with the majority of the wiring being inside of the car.

I would run the wire under the dash to the power loom on the passanger side footwell to the engine compartment. From there just run the wire down and to the location you need. All I did was straightened a wire hanger and carefully pushed it threw the rubber wire loom gromet from the engine compartment to the passanger footwell. Once threw, I taped the wire to the end and pulled it threw. Only took 2 tries.

The LS430 had a grommet right under the front passenger footwell - are you sure there isn't one like this on the 460? Also, why couldn't I run it down the same area with the gearshift?

Did you have to pull the battery to get it out of your way? Looks like a tight squeeze, but with some tape and a bent coathanger (like you, my old standby trick) it looks doable abeit a semi-knucklebuster.
