I look at it like I look at these forums. If someone was to look at this forum, the 460 is the worst car Lexus ever released
Until you look at the OTHER forums and realize that it's enormously disproportionate at those other forums. The concerns here at CL are ridiculously minor in comparison. Go see the E65 forum at Bimmerfest......when you see threads like "engine burning oil", "transmission replaced", "3 weeks in the shop for engine replacement", "failed emmissons test again", etc. you realize how good we have it.

As for the warranty......that isn't a carte blanche for worry-free driving. Many warranties (especially when covering a vehicle like the V12 AMG), wll not cover everything. seals, gaskets, (including valve-stem), bushings etc are often not covered. When I looked at my warranty for my LS closely, I promptly requested a refund. Too many exclusions. When I used my E65 as an example for any future repairs, almost NONE (including the valve-stem seals), would have been covered.

Actually Lexus added the passenger seat memory in 2009.

Thanx Tee!

I should've double checked my facts before sounding like a know-it-all. . .

The AMG cars are very nice, the handling and the power are second to none and I hope you enjoy your new car to the fullest.

Like a few others on here I gave up Mercedes for Toyota - Lexus when my personal cost benefit analysis tipped to Lexus.

Maybe I may come back to Lexus in a few years if they actually develop this:

"TMG says the TMG Sport 650 should be able to sprint from 0-62 mph in an estimated 3.9 seconds, and a top speed of over 198 mph"

Yes I think I could get used to that...

Again I found the Lexus to be a much smoother ride and as far as I was concerned the magic ride button didnt work. Even the salesman stated he couldnt see any difference. Also the MB dealership told me there was no free loaner car it was $50 a day plus gas. The main reason we walked out was we asked to see a 350 and the salesman said they had no 350s. We were sitting at his desk in the showroom surrounded by 350s so I just got up and walked out. Perhaps I am just not a "dealership person."
