Aftermarket HUD?
Found this thing on a Chinese website which plugs in to the OBD 2 connector to display speed, mpg, etc.
http://www.dealsmachine.com/best_180...UuY29tfDk4Ng==
right now they also have a coupon code: EG0516801 which evidently saves an additional $14.
Has anybody seen anything like this before?

Could you mount this on the back dash and project it across the entire front windshield like a big screen projection TV? Maybe Prestigious Society could find a way to hook it up to the TV out/ins to project movies on the windshield. LS Lexus with a curved projection TV!

lol! that would be genius!
i'm going to be the idiotic guinea pig here and buy one to see how it does, worst case i'll be out about $50 with freight, or it will be to big of an eye sore on the dash.
i'll let y'all know.

I bought an OBD2 connector and installed an app. As the app screen can be in a kind of mirror mode you can use an Android phone as HUD projector. I would give this a try before buying additional hardware.
Please note that BT energy consumption is high and you need to remove the adapter or discharge your battery. If others connect to your dongle, you can loose security. Removing when not in motion is recommended. This is def.not convenient and the OBD plug is not designed for such a gimmick. It is a matter of hours until you have regrets. For the same price you rather spend your GF a dinner.
