Thumbs up

I would purchase the 600h L only after a thural inspection from a Lexus dealership. The car looks excellent, carfax is good, means the previous owner took care of the vehicle. 99K miles is nothing for a Lexus.

I agree that 99 000 miles for a lexus is no big deal.

Personally I would try to wait for a lower mileage one too come along.

Pay a premium now for lower mileage or pay later for more repairs.

Pay me now or pay me later, hard too escape that old saying sometimes.

My LS600 odo says 180 000 km which is app 112 000 miles. She is like a brand new car except the windscreen. I frequently drive between 150 and 160 mph on the Autobahn. That's why stone impact is huge.

In 2022 with 250 000 miles I'm sure she is still new as my 24 years old LS400 today with 250 000 miles. The difference between both LS is huge as the LS 600 engine is mostly running idle. Reaching one million miles would not surprise me.

You will not notice a worn battery as the battery management is adaptive, changes the cycles and stick on displayed ranges over the years. Consequently, a worst case scenario that the battery damages the LS image will never happen. This would become the end of the hybrid technology and the dead of the reliability of its pioneer.

Last month I test drove a 2008 with 145k. It actually drove better than a 2009 with 77k on it. It did have the low speed transfer case vibrating problem though. That and the front bumper needed some paint due to all the miles. I actually signed a contract with the guy to buy it but he backed out to sell it to somebody in Delaware for more money. Oh well. Still on the hunt!

Is that vibration issue a serious and expensive fix?

Yes it can be. It requires that the transfer case fluid be drained and filled 3 times. Easy job but the fluid is about $150 a quart so expect to pay $1500 for the job

All LS 600HL U.S models don't come standard with radar cruise, just looked it up.

Not true, I test drove a 2008 that did not have it. I have also seen one without the rear seat entertainment as well.
