Which would you choose '08 600 or '11 460L
Going to look at one of the cars tonight so feedback would really help.
Given the two cars below, which would you chose and why:
Car A: 2008 LS600 under 30k miles with everything minus the executive seating;
Car B: 2011 LS460L AWD 30k miles with air suspension, rear seat upgrade package, mark levinson, PCS/dynamic cruise, and nav (also maybe the cold
Both cars can be warrantied under the Lexus Platinum warranties and the out the door price for me would be slightly higher for the 600 (Car A).
A few things to keep in mind is that I drive 16k -18k miles a year mostly on straight expressways. I am specifically looking for AWD. Also looking to keep the car for at least for 5 years. The aesthetic improvements on the 2011 vs 2008 aren't a factor for me.
Thanks

AWD was available in 2008 on the 600, and 2009 on the 460 i believe.
i would still get the 2011 because of the options, and the money you will save in gas since you do a lot of miles on the highway. 460's have better MPG on the hwy.

I voted for the 460L due to the highway miles, but I may say the 600 just for the exclusivity, and the fact that is has better city mileage.
Can I vote for both? hahah

I voted for the 600, but that's just me.
I'd drive both and pick the one which drives and rides the best. The 600 is a big and heavy car and weighs 400lb more than the AWD 460L so the ride is different. The 600 also has more horsepower and torque and when in hybrid power mode will happily respond with musclecar like acceleration. Then the 600 also has very limited trunk space... so they're very different cars. Go and drive them and I think you'll come to your own conclusion.
My test drive recommendation: let the 600 warm up, flip it to Hybrid Power and Sport suspension modes, plant right foot to floor and hold. 600 owners here will know what that means

Driven both and while I like the 600's driving habits a bit more, the 460L is not THAT different.
I should also add that the 460L is priced on the very low end of 40s. Maybe that will way some of your opinions.
