Prestigious Society mod done. Some observations.
So I did the mod today. Not as easy as I thought, but doable with a helper (my 15 year old son).
Some observations:
1: The 10mm and 8mm bolts on my 2012 LS were pretty tight. I did lose the 8 mm, not having had the foresight of putting a towel below them. A quick trip to Ace hardware and 22 cents for a Metric 8 mm x 5 machine bolt, it was fixed. There is a spare bolt at the bottom of my instrument stack. I hope it won't rattle!
2: A strategically placed shaving mirror and flashlight do wonders for seeing where the 8mm bolt is.
3: Do not remove all connectors from the Nav unit. The back is pretty accessible when a helper holds it.
Overall, allow 2 hours. No need to disconnect battery. The instructions are clear, but the pictures are not in color. That would have helped.
Works like a charm.
Thanks to all for your help.
