The dealership fixed the door wind leak without my knowledge.
Quick summary about the car. My dads a car dealer. After months of waiting to bite on the right deal he found a low mile LS460L for me, with minor front cosmetic damage.
He takes the car to his mechanics and body shop guys. They knock it out the repairs with no issues, except for a couple instrument panel lights. He then decides, he will take it to the dealership to get checked out thoroughly before passing it to me. Well, on his two hour drive to the dealership, he notices a terrible wind leak on/around the door... We're both bummed! I get online and see the huge amount of info on this wind noise-leak. I then learn...Wow, jmcraney has been awesome to the community here! I reach out to him and he offers to send me the plates to fix the noises! Great guy!
Anyways. next day, the dealership calls the pops and says, your cars ready for pick up! They took care of the dash lights, even took care of some fuel recall (sorry dont know much detail on that right now) and even filled the tank! lol I think that was part of diagnosing the recall.. anyways driving the car home, my dad was shocked! The wind noise-leak was 100% GONE! My dad said it was complete night and day! But the dealership never mentioned once, taking care of this. HA!
why is this?!?!
Anyways Im driving to pick up my car this weekend, and I might even break down the door triangle trim to see if that area was repaired.
Does Lexus secretly repair your wind noise but doesnt tell you to prevent them from crediting jmcraney?? I just dont get it.

Could it have been that one of the front windows was slightly open when he heard the noise? I think thats the most likely.
99.999% chance the dealership has no idea who "jmcraney" is.

Check the work order. If it's not on there, they didn't touch it. The dealer's remedy is to replace the glass with laminate, but since you have the L, it already has it.
And congrats on the new car!
