CPO '09 LS460 - Is it me or the car?
#16
Yes, that did happen to me on my last set of tires. I had been buying Pirelli P Zero Nero's for my Infiniti Q45a and my LS. I wanted the Pirelli's because they were top rated on Tire Rack and Consumer Reports for wet handling characteristics (I tend to drive as fast in rain as I do on dry pavement). Then for my latest set I read their tests and the Pirelli dropped from 1st to 3rd. I was wondering if they changed their compound or tread design.
The Conti Pure Contact was top rated so I decided to try them. I am happy with the tires, they are significantly quieter than the Pirelli, and they appear to be wearing much better. However, they in no way can compete with the Pirelli on wet surfaces or in snow. I will go back to Pirelli when I need my next set.
