I enjoy my LS as a daily driver as well. If the car is nice why not treat yourself and your family. Pretty funny that you don't let your kids in the car. Just buy a couple of bottles of the Lexus leather cleaner and conditioner and you should be able to handle any kind of spill
Honestly, it's not really a spilled liquid issue. My car has the executive seating packing, so there are all kinds of buttons on the center console between the two back seats. That was really more my concern. That said, I never even really drive it, so it's not like I'm out cruising in my LS while I leave the family behind. Not to mention, my five year old boy shares his Daddy's car obsession. His taste is very different from mine. He's nowhere near as impressed with my Lexus as I am. In fact, he thinks Cadillacs are the greatest vehicle ever created, while I think ANYTHING GM is absolute GARBAGE. Because both he and my wife love Cadillac, I bought the wife an SRX, so the kid is rocking out with his DVD player in the SRX, and all is well.
I actually do agree with the sentiment of everyone that cars are meant to be driven. I guess I have just become a bit too impressed by a car, which has never happened to me. Hell, I bought the LX470 brand new in 2004 and spent a small fortune for the thing, but I never felt as though it was too nice to drive (and it costs me more than the LS). I think it may be time to sell her off and let someone else enjoy actually driving it!

You know the old adage - the first thing you should do when you get a new car is to hit it with a hammer so you get the first dent out of the way. Maybe it would be a good idea to also vomit in the back seat, so as to get that out of the way as well.
I thought this way at first but after losing some friends of mine recently to random medical related items like heart attacks etc who were in their 30s just like me, I said F it and I am enjoying my life and my car because I work hard and pay for it each month...I just make sure to not park near haters or potential spaces where kids will open doors fast without a care in the world, usually spaces closer to entrances. I know have that Bawse feeling each and every time I get in my car after selling my daily driver. I live 8 miles from work now vs 25 so people may have a commuting situation I suppose...remember..we cant take our toys with us when we go..enjoy them while you can
