Feels and sounds....
Two weeks ago I pick up our 08 460 SWB , with 24,300 miles on the car ...
I noticed today while in park standing and waiting for my wife to come out the nail Solon ..the car had this very mild tremble / shake ...and sounded like a belt under the hood was loose .. Something like a rotating fan sound loud but not that loud to make a big stink out of... When I drove off and came to a stop sign I pressed the breaks and RPM's went from 1,100 to 1,300 and back down when the car was at full stop??
Im off from work tomorrow and with warranty available I think I should bring it in ?
I was told that the VSR was done already .. Holler at me if you have a clue to what this could be ?

Assuming your car was already warmed up and operating at normal temperature, I would consider a few things:
1 - Early transmission software made the LS-460 switch to neutral at full stop, even when the car is in "D". This has been addressed with new software, and the car doesn't go to neutral anymore.
2 - With A/C turned off, a warmed up LS-460 should idle between 500-750rpm, with the car in "D".
3 - Make sure the steering wheel heater is off, and all heating/cooling ***** on all seats are also in the off position. This lowers the load on the alternator, and prevents variations in the idle while stopped at a red light for example, in "D".
After all this, test it. If the idle is still not between 500-750rpm, take it in so they can plug in the scan tool and check it out.
The other thing I can think off is a dying battery, or a recently updated ECU software and the car is still learning your driving style. It takes a couple of gas tanks to finish learning.
