what you like about your LS460L?
Hi guys,
I am back in the market for the LS460 or LS460L, but leaning toward the L because of the Double Pane Window, Sport/Comfort feature, and Air Suspension. I don't care about the extra leg room. I have few question for you guys that have LS460L or have info about the L:
1. are all "LS460L" have Double Pane Window?
2. Height High feature: how does this work?
3. Any other feature that the LS460L have that the SWB don't have?
thanks in advance,

1) i believe all lwb have upgraded windows
2) not all ls460l have air suspension, watch out.
3) height high, it raises up the car when stopped. i believe when you start moving up to certain speed, it drops back down
4) certain upgrades are only available on the ls460l, for 07/08 it was rear seats upgrade for example. for 07-09, touring package was only available on ls460l. for '10, sport is only available on swb.

My LWB has the Air Height Suspension and it's a must if your gonna spend the money!
I bought mine for the LEG room, and everything else was just an extra!
Windows, Rear Seating Options & Park Assist were just extras!

All the L's I've seen have the upgraded windows and boy what a difference it makes. My friends 460 without the upgrade is much louder inside the car then my 460L.
As for the air suspension, it operates on command when stopped or moving. I have raised and lowered my car may times sitting in the drive way or driving down the road.
One feature that I have but not sure if the 460 has would be the auto door shut. Can't tell you how many times in my old BMW I have to close the door twice. Also like the look of the long wheel base. Oh yea and lets not forget the room in the back seat, can't tell you how many passengers have made a comment on how roomy the back is and how they enjoyed the ride.

OPSBD has my same thoughts. I rode in a SWB and the road noise was louder. On top of that, he has aftermarket wheels as well with coil-overs and the ride wasnt so great. My car rides as good with aftermarkets as his car did with stocks. The one thing I really love as stated above is the leg room in the back. Im 6'3 and my brother is 6'2. When we double date with him an his wife, they alway compliment the rear leg room. It has way more room than his Escalade. I also love the look of the suede looking headliner.
Now if I could only get me a chauffeur.

The 460L has standard auto high beams. As far as I know thisfeature is not avaialble on the SWB 460. Also some of the rear seat upgrades such as power rear door sunshades are only available on the L.

Okay guys thanks for all your feedbacks. You have helped me locked in on the LS460L with Double Pane Windows, Height High, Air Suspension, and Mark Levinson system. Anything else is extra gravy.

My late 2008 LS460 (short model) had double pane glass factory installed on driver and passenger windows, no TSIB on mine.

Today, Halloween, I took advantage of the "Autumn Payment Wavier Program" offered by Lexus Financial Services and turned in my 2008 LS460L, with 44,300 miles on it and took delivery of a brand new 2010 LS460L. LFS picked up my last four payments on my '08, so I couldn't resist. What can I say? I LOVE this car! If you get the L, you MUST get the Air Suspension. It makes the car ride so smoothly and so silently. My '08 had the Rear Seat Upgrade Pkg. which really cut down on the trunk space. My new one has everything but that pkg. and now I have a much larger trunk. I also had on my '08 and have on the new one, the Radar Cruise Control w/Pre-Safe. I think this is a sensational feature, if you do any amount of open road driving. The other thing I need to mention, is that when I got my '08, from Newport Lexus, I really got screwed on the lease. They were the only dealer that had the car I wanted and my lease on my '05 LS was up, so I paid through the nose. The fact that Newport LIED to me and was totally UNETHICAL about their dealings with me, really hurt. Totally unLexus like behavior at Newport Lexus. Big, fancy showroom, but SLEAZEBAG people there. Right now, there is a pretty good supply of 2010 LS's out there and the deals are great. With a drive off of only about $2,100.00, I got 36 months at about $1125.00 per month, tax included, with 15K per year. For a car with an MSRP of right at $80K, I felt this was a home run. I got Smoky Granite w/black. I got my car from Cerritos and they were very professional and just the nicest people to deal with. I highly recommend Lexus of Cerritos. Napa Valley here we come!
