Default Door Panel Removal

Does anyone have any instructions on how to remove driver's door panel? I'm trying to install my turn signal mirrors and don't want to mess anything up. I've removed the screws from the door handle and below the arm rest. But it seems stuck in the middle.

Thanks

after you remove the screws, there are about 13 plastic clips that hold the panel. try buying a 2day subscription from techinfo.toyota.com and you can get the details of where the slips are.

The basic way to remove a door panel is to move your way from the bottom all the way to the top pulling gently.

Thanks JLAWR, I'm glad I'm only removing the panel. Hopefully, the mirror installation will go smooth.

Note the screwdriver tip shown is wrapped with tape to prevent damage to the panel surfaces and the painted door. If you can find a small and narrow plastic trowel, the kind Lexus uses, it would be even better. I'm sure you can buy it from Lexus/Toyota or generic automotive shops for a couple of bucks - good insurance. All manufacturers make use of them...

Has anyone put these side mirror LED turn signals on an '08? I have heard mixed messages about whether they fit the 08. Apparently there was a small change in the mirror design? Ed, where did you get teh mirrors? L-tuned?

for what it's worth.

it takes ~5 minutes to take a door panel off.

getting the panel on correctly, this takes a little more time and effort.
you need to make sure the clips on the top of the panel are correctly seated on the door frame.

?how will i know if it's NOT on correctly?
i noticed a large gap between the exterior and interior window trim (the fuzzy trim stuff that touches the interior part of the glass).
also, the panel will rest up against the dash, were the panel meets the dash.

if i get around to taking the panels off again, i'll take some pics and post.

Is the rear door panel removal different if you have sunshades in the door?
Thanks
