Well yours truly rewrote some of it, took photos, and added new material in time for the LS 460 release...of course it's a work in progress, corrections and suggestions are absolutely welcome! Lots of the info came from CL, but also the Lexus Story, published work, independent research, and collaboration with other Wikipedians.

Thanks for the comments! I've spent actually a few weeks, here and there, over a span of months since I think around August. It started with just a few edits as I learned the wikipedia interface. Contrary to popular opinion, there's actually quite a bit of fact-checking and editor policing...they really try to make it to the standards of an encyclopedia, misinformation and vandalism is edited out within hours if not minutes, and there's lots of attention paid to copyright issues as well.
There are quite a few 'edit wars' too, right now the Toyota article is disputed for neutrality for instance.
The article looked very different before I made major changes...this is what is was before:
http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?...oldid=74542329
compared to now:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lexus_LS
The goal is to make it informative as possible. It also should be fairly impartial. Lexus has been very successful in key areas, which can give the article(s) a rather positive tone, but the praiseworthy elements (awards, world's first achievements, etc) are all substantiated by facts--a number of the claims have been challenged and verified, or corrected.
All the Lexus articles have been aligned to more or less a consistent format in the recent months, with multiple inputs from others and myself. But the LS article and the Lexus main article have received the most work.
The LS article has reached a level of encyclopedic detail that it may soon be split up into multiple articles, perhaps for different generations of the vehicle, or the awards list, etc. A review suggested that the intro section of the Ls article be expanded.
We are also often in need of free-use images (any photos that people take and allow permission to use freely on wikipedia in low-to-medium resolution).

Thanks for the praise, that makes it all the more worthwhile. I'd like to return the compliment. IMO it is a very significant accomplishment to have succeeded in life such that you can afford a LS 460. I have been able to test drive and sit in the new LS, and I am very impressed...I would love to own one someday!

600h availability in the US?
Enigma888 - Fantastic research on the LS model... thanks for taking the time to do all that.
A question for you and the rest of the board.
We know the 600h L is coming soon. But what have you heard of the 600h - already available in Japan?
Will we see the 600h SWB here for 2008?
Thanks!
