Protective film on hood

My car has a clear protective film on the front edge of the hood and fenders. Apparently this is standard for the Canadian market.

As I recall no one has mentioned this on the forum. Do any of the US market vehicles have this feature?

you can get it through many dealers as an option. i personally like the product, plan to add it to my wifes gx470 soon
