Did anyone else buy the LS without driving it?

I found mine in a salvage yard with seemingly nothing wrong with it, and wasn't allowed or able to drive it. I figured if it went for under 6k (NZD) I'd make it my first V8 without ever driving a Lexus before, and it did! I took a risk, but 500 dollars later for control arm bushings, I'm all set with a beautiful 2007 LS 460!

500 for parts and labour to change control arm bushings? If things are that cheap over there then I don't get why you kiwis are in such a mass exodus over here.

It may sound strange but I will soon take delivery of the LS without even driving it. I did drive the LS430 and this is an evolution, I feel no need to drive it. I realized that this was the same case with my E class and Boxster and will be the case with the '09 7 that I plan on buying. I guess I have a great deal of confidence in the engineering at this level but this is probably not a good idea for most people.

Hey, at least I give justinbird credit for doing a search before starting a redundant thread.

I bought mine in Arkansas and I live in Connecticut so lets just say I wasn't able to drive it. But I looked at the service record , car fax and paid lemonsquad to look at it for me and drive it.
