too bad it's impossible to find all the matching door trim anywhere other then the dealer which charges on average 75-85 dollars per door piece

If the trim is just dull, I used Meguiar's Clear Coat Safe Polishing Compound to remove the dull top layer. Took a little elbow grease, but it worked from me. Then, I applied a synthetic polymer wax called Rejex (same thing I use on my car paint), and it looks like new.
