Default Toyota service experience...never going to Lexus again!!!

Just wanted to let everyone know how my visit went. '04 112k.

Went for an oil and filter change and air filter. $49 for the oil change and the air filter was like $30.

Lexus of Beverly Hills wanted $109, for just an oil change and a car wash. No air filter.

What really blew me away is, that for less than half the cost, at the Toyota dealer they lubed my chassis, door jams, etc., inflated my tires, and they even performed a comprehensive 27pt inspection (every Lexus dealer I've been to has NEVER done that). Everything was in the green except normal wear items like brake pads!!! At Lexus they wouldn't have done ANY of that and would have charged me more than double.

Never going to Lexus again, except for the tranny flush. That I want to leave to Lexus service techs.

Everything else? Toyota dealer all the way.

And going over that in my head, let me get this straight..........

Toyota performs comprehensive inspections on Corollas and Camrys with every oil change, but at a LEXUS dealership when you bring in a $60,000 flagship LS, they don't? And they charge way more?

That makes NO sense AT ALL to me.

What a total rip off. My opinion of Lexus customer service has gone down.

any master tech at toyota service center can do a trans flush and much cheaper.not rocket science.
the only time i ever used lexus was the free oil change you get when you buy a car from them.all else i do myself or the toyota service does and i only use the master tech's.

Had mine done 10k ago at Yota. Sealed tranny's with "lifetime fluid"are becoming more common I imagine.

"Lubed the chassis and door jambs"? There's nothing to lube. If any "lube" is put on the rubber suspension bushings they'll begin to squeak. Funny how auto repair shops still claim to do this service.
