The lower right corner of the radio face will have the Mark Levinson logo printed.

Default timing belt

If your car was serviced primarily through Lexus, you should be fine, but just to be safe, confirm that the timing belt and hopefully the water pump was changed already. Good luck, the car is a beauty.

Checked the radio and it IS NOT the Mark Levinson. It sounds great with the "Premium Sound System". I guess I don't have to worry about the amp or sub-woofer!

Timing belt was changed 8/13/11 with 89,244 miles. 120K service was done in July and new tires and shocks put on in the last year.

I am going to mess with the telescoping wheel problem this week and order the Honda Shin-Etsu grease to see if I can eliminate a little of the door creaking sounds. I also noticed a faint oil smell the other day when I got home and parked in the garage. I am guessing the valve cover gaskets are either leaking a little or need tightened up.

Thanks to everyone on the forum for the positive comments on the car and great information contained here.

Mats arrived VERY quickly from Bell Lexus (with 12 month, 12,000 warranty). I really didn't notice they were that dirty...........these will make a BIG difference!

If you don't have the ML system you are more likely better off. The sound is fine and the subwoofer (rear shelf speaker) if blown is much less money than the ML to replace. Were you able to check if the water pump was replaced the same time as the timing belt? No big deal if not, but it's nice to know. The telescopic column is a standard problem with noises and malfunctions. I disabled the automatic feature on mine as soon as I purchased my car 5 years ago. When I checked the history, the original owner had it replaced within the 2nd year of ownership and it continued to give problems. You seem to have a really well maintained car. Enjoy.

I ordered Ivory mats to replace the cashmere ones in my car. both are impossible to keep clean. Ivory, Tan, or cashmere interiors are similar. are those ecru? interesting

Yes, the mats are ecru and they are going to be a challenge to keep clean. I think I am going to put the old mats in during our "harsh" Sacramento winters.

Great! You are good to go. If you maintain this car properly, you could probably give it to any family member when/if you decide to make a change down the road. These are pretty much "forever cars". One of the best Lexus Automobiles every produced next to the 2nd generation GS. I've heard of customers trading in their 07 and 08 LS460s for the earlier LS430s. This is true. Enjoy your car! You have a winner!
