Hi guys while in San Francisco yesterday I was stopped at a red light and then I hear a car screeching to a stop all a sudden I was plowed into the middle of the intersection. A black new Toyota Avalon hit this ford transit delivery truck which plowed into my rear end thank god the damage wasn't that bad and no one was hurt. Based on the images how bad does the damage look and what would you say the estimate would be to fix it, the trunk is raised up a bit from the hit is there any way to fix it without replacing it? Thanks for your time reading my post I hope there will be some good feedback.

It will probably be around 5 - 7 grand to fix it. I had a similar situation right after I purchased my car. Came out to be about $7500 when it was all said and done. Make sure to find a very nice auto body shop. OEM parts are really the only ones available but the paint matching is where a lot of art comes in. I used to live in San Francisco years ago. Yeah, I would agree. Deck lid is buckled, so that will need to be replaced. You may be able to get away with just the bumper cover and bumper bar under the cover. Hopefully the mounting points in the unibody are not collapsed at all. Obviously not your fault, so get a good estimate (will include having the body shop open it up to see what all is damaged under the cover) and call the other driver's insurance, and let them handle it..
Make sure the latch point for the deck lid is not pushed in.. If it's pushed in at all, it will never close tight with a new deck lid installed.
Glad you're not injused, that would have been much worse.

That's a minor looking hit on the surface but getting it all straight and set back correctly might be very expensive. Sometimes minor hits like that are very deceiving in terms of how much work and parts are required to make it like new. Find a body shop that does Lexus work if possible make sure they understand you will not accept anything but perfection in terms of repair. And reject any work that is not perfect - that's means all lines and gaps in panels and trim pieces are even, sized correctly, and straight, and paint has been feathered to be undetectable match. Before signing off on the work make sure you inspect it in bright daylight and do not allow yourself to be rushed about it.
