Hello All!

I'm looking to add a Lexus LS430 as a second car. I'd like a newer 460 but don't think I want to drop the cash on it. I found a 01 base in extremly good shape for high 13900~. I think that may be a little too high so I wanted to get your thoughts on it. It has 60k miles and is grey with tan interior. Doesn't appear to have many options on it but looks very CLEAN. I would have to have it shipped since its across the US, its also a 1 owner car. After doing some research I think it should be around the 11,500 range, I saw one with half the miles sell for that price on ebay. What do you guys think I should shoot for? I love driving my parents 99 ES300 so I know I'd love how the LS drives!

Patience is key. That sounds too high for an 01.

Way high for an 01...even with that many miles..
Needs to be much closer to $10-12K

A 2001 LS430 in great shape should run in the neighborhood of $9800-$10900. $13900 is very high, IMO.

I paid $11,800 4 1/2 years ago for a super clean 2001 LS430 base car with Nav/ML and 17s with 98,000 miles, 2 owner car always Lexus serviced. The car mentioned is worth $10,000 all day long. 14 is crazy. Older clean LS430s are the easiest to sell due to pricing if they are priced right.

I concur with the others on the price range...I just picked up an 01 Millennium Silver w/ black leather LS 430 UL w/ 90K for $12K out the door...all Lexus performed service records, two previous owners with the first one trading it in and it ending up being a CPO at that time, and everything works as it should...keep looking...for $13,900, I would think you'd actually be in the '03-'04 range for a base model...

Just pulled the trigger on one that poped up on ebay. I may have paid slightly too much, however I found the car in the state. I was planning on having a car shipped if I had found one in the USA. I'm getting it delivered to my house without cost, and bought the car sight unseen which is risky. I saved $700 not having to have it shipped from somewhere like Florida. However its a 02 430 UL( REALLY wanted the UL), 80k miles all service records, 1 owner, Silver/Ivory and I paid 12,600. May have been slightly too high but I ran down several UL's with no luck or too high of a price. I think it worked out well, now the wait to have it delivered... I've never even driven a LS430 before, only my parents ES300 which I love the ride of. Hopefully I made the right choice! It will be nice to have a ride that is smooth and not so harsh like my bimmer! My main concern on the car is the air suspension. I likley plan on modding the car and had a budget of 20k for a car, so I'll have plenty of room for mods and maintenance. I plan to keep the car a long time! I'm going to post pics once I get it, I have all the detailing of the car already planned, exterior is really good shape, some of the leather is a little dirty for my tastes so I'll be making it like new this week.

I think I saw the one you bought on ebay. It looks like a nice clean car. I hope you like it!

That was the one, I was browsing ebay waiting at the hospital and pulled the trigger on it! Should have it delivered on Sunday.

Check Autotrader my friend. I bought my 98LS, 99LS and my 02LS for the friendly price from that site.
