I will be ditching the stock air suspension on my 04 UL and will be doing the coilover swap soon. I've decided to go with BC's with swift springs and I've done some searches and found that most people either get 10k/8k or 12k/10k spring rates. Most of the threads I've found are a few years old now, and I'd like to see what others have to say about each spring rate combo based on their experiences.

I'm looking to get a nice clean drop (maybe a finger or two finger gap), without losing much comfort. It's my daily driver. I'll be running 18" wheels, and 19" in the future. Should I get 10/8 or 12/10? And should I get the extreme drop option?

Again, I know its been covered, i've searched. But a lot of the information is scattered and outdated. I've also found threads covering different chassis', and Im having a difficult time finding LS-specific information. Thanks!

Get the 12/10 rate if possible go with the 14/12 rate, cause our car's are a bit heavy and will need the stiffer rate. I have the 10/8 and it's to soft for me.

i got the 14/12 combo non extreme and it rides good with my UAS set up.

I can't vouch for my LS430 because I'm running Fortune Auto's with the "stock" 10/8 rates. However I do have the BC/Swift/Xtreme combo on my GS and bumped up the spring rates to 12/10 from the stock 10/8 on the GS. The ride is great, firm but still very comfortable....definitely wifey approved. With the LS being even heavier than the GS, at minimum I would assume that you would be safe with the upgraded 12/10 set up if not slightly higher. But, if you're not going to be that low, and may not be running an aggressive wheel/tire set up, I'd say just stick with the 12/10 set up and call it a day. I think you'll be happy

I got the regular which was another mistake for me haha but a 12/10 would do just fine for you if your not planning to sit to low.

I would go with a 16/14 or 14/12 setup. My Megans are 10/8 and it's way to soft for the rear.

Just an update, I decided on 12/10 swift springs and finally received and put them on yesterday. I haven't done much driving yet, but so far so good, very comfortable. Of course theres a big difference from stock air suspension, but I'm very satisfied with the ride quality so far. I left the fronts at 8 clicks (from hard) and the rears 15 clicks (from hard). I still want to go lower, so I'll be playing around with the dampening too. But thank you again for the suggestions on spring rates

Nice. I'm running 12/10 also. Didn't adjust the soft/hard **** just left it stock. I say put 500 miles on the coilovers, let them set then adjust them
