You're welcome!

They look huge off of the car. When my new mufflers with 5 inch tips came in the mail for my SC I was blown away by how huge they looked. It looked like a small canon.

On the car it's much smaller looking. Now I want 5 or 6 inch tips.

where's a good place to look for 4.5 - 5 inch exhaust tips?

I have a 2002 so will 4.5 inch tips require some big cuts to the bumper cover? Much appreciated..

I got mine from Amazon.com. Summitracing.com has a huge selection as well.

Thanks!

Bigger tips look much better than the plain stock ones.

4.5" O.D., slant cut and 18" long when I bought them, they were cut down and welded to the SS Magnaflows, probably 12-14" long now. They stick out about 2.5"-3" from the bumper.

some of these pictures i just snapped for this since i am at work.

i had PPE build my exhaust. its 2 1/4" stainless from the cat back. into a magnaflow x muffler in the middle and 2 more magnaflow mufflers at the end (one on each side), finished off with magnaflow tips.

i also have ppe headers.

Nope, the 04-06 rear bumper cutouts allow 4.5" to 5" tips just fine. The 01-03 models would need some work though.

You have the exact set up I have been thinking of having done. Can you share any tips or advice for this set up and install? Did you reuse your factory cats with the ppe headers? Factory header bolts and gaskets? Any leaks at flanges or check engine light issues? Very interested to hear what you have to say. Thanks

the headers are exactly what you would expect to do to replace them. they need to be done from the bottom. i removed the motor mount and bracket on each side individually as i was working on them. it made it easier to install the headers. i would recommend replacing motor mounts while you are in there. i reused the factory cats and they bolted back on just like factory. i replaced the gaskets with new toyota/lexus gaskets. i reused all the factory bolts and nuts. i don't know the milage of your car but mine had 50,000. i have had these headers on the black car (2006) for 3 years and on my gold (2001) for a year before the 2006. i have never had any engine lights, at all. there are no exhaust leaks from the flanges or welds and these are the very first ppe 430 headers. these are the prototype. i would recommend them to anyone looking for more from their 430.

as far as the cat back exhaust it was a one-off that ppe did. its one of the benefits of living in the same town as them. i also had them do a one off intake. all of these mods woke the car up.

the noise is pleasant unless you stand on it, then you can definitely hear it, as well as most cars around you. it has a very exotic sound to it.

i hope this helps.

Did you happen to dyno your car azcamber? Any realistic idea on hp / tq gain? Looks really nice! I thought 20 HP was what was quoted by others. On my old Mustang GT with a JLT 2 CAI, SCT 2 Evo tune, LT Kooks headers, X-pipe, High-flow cats, and Borla S-type equaled 82 HP. But not being able to tune a LS430 is a major downfall.
