I am seriously thinking about having the dealer eliminate the automatic function of the tilt and telescope feature. As a big guy, my seat is already all the way back and I do not feel it is any easier to get out with the wheel up and in. It might be harder as I can get leverage on the wheel to swing my legs around.

I finally got around to having the dealer disable my automatic steering/tilt. The first service advisor I took it to was clueless, said it couldn't be done via flash. Suggested pulling the wire from the steering to disable it.
What's even funnier is he went out of his way to say how posters on Club Lexus were clueless about the features of cars (I never even brought up Club Lexus). I took it to a different advisor at the same dealership and showed him the Lexus factory printout of all the features they could customize. I also had the daytime running lights disabled.
It cost $65, which is overpriced, but worth it to me. My steering started making some squeaking noises when it would move during the auto tilt, and according to the records, the column had already been replaced once before.
It's honestly a feature you quickly forget about, I'd eliminate it ASAP before it goes out.

I had mine programmed at the Toyota dealer for free, just walked in and asked. Closest Lexus dealer is over 100 miles away. Same issue, telescope began to make noise and became slow on the automatic get out of the way mode.
