Default Wheel spacers on 01-03 LS430 (17" wheels)

I want to add wheel spacers to my car so the OEM 17's sit a little more flush with the fenders. More specifically, I'm trying to find out what space length I need or how to determine the length I should go with (for both front and rear). I do not want to roll the fenders or do anything outside of bolting/unbolting on the added wheel spacers withOUT having the tires rub against the fender.

Here is an example pic of the OEM 17s l am referring to (that is not my car, found this pic online):

I've read about what spacers would be needed for the 04-06 LS430 with the 18" OEM sport wheels......but could not find info regarding the 17s (which I'm guessing have diff offset than the sport 18s) I have and didn't want to take the chance of purchasing $160 spacers and they end up causing rubbing issues. I understand that the spacers I select should be hubcentric to both the hub and wheel; therefore, I plan on going with the Kics or Ichibi V2 spacers. Anyone recommend a different brand they trust?

Once info is provided, I plan on purchasing the wheels spacers and taking before and after pics to document the results for all to see. Any help is much appreciated.......and thx in advance Club Lexus!

I run 15mm on the front and 25mm on the rear. I have a ls400 but it is very similar.

Lavrishevo: the more I read, it appears that that is the combination that most folks use (i.e., +15mm on front; +25 mm on rear) for the LSs. I'll give this thread another week and go with that combo unless someone with the same exact model and wheels as I has a better experience with a different combination. Thx for the response!

take a ruler to your car, orient your head so it is 'above' your fender, looking down.
lay the ruler horizontally and place it to the wheel. see how many inches/fractions of an inch
you need until your wheels are 'flush' convert inches to mm and buy hubcentric spacers

Here are my inputs from the top of my head:

On my LS430, I run 15mm front and 25mm rear with the OEM 18s and stock size tires, and there are very little rubbing on very hard compression, my car is lowered.

On the OEM 17s, both the width and offset on the wheels is the same as the 18s, the only difference is the tire size, 245/45/18 vs 225/55/17.

With the narrower tires, my guess is if you run 15mm front and 25mm rear, there would be no rubbing.

Hope that help.

BNR34: thanks a million for that jewel of info.....that is exactly the type of info I was trying to obtain from this thread. I will be placing my order for wheel spacers in the near future and will update this thread with before/after pics.

From what I understand, you went with the Kics spacers? If so, would you recommend them or have you had any issues (e.g., post-install vibration) with them? thx in advance.

You are welcome, glad I can help.

Yes I have Kics spacers, have zero problem with them after 60k miles, highly recommend them.

Default Conservative 05 Base LS430 w 225 55 17

I'm trying to do the same thing Gemini was contemplating w his 17" setup. My spacer question is Kics Spacers or V1 H @ R spacers? I have searched this sight high and low for pics of stock 225 55 17 with spacers on a ls430 or ls400. I'm good with conservative appearance but think the tires being sunk in is not the best look and would jump at the chance to use spacers to push tires out to fender without giving up performance, without rubbing, without shaving, without vibrating, altering, lowering etc. lol. Notwealthy has a beautiful setup with 245 45 18 s. In fact I was going to Pull the trigger on the same rims this morning but the rub is still a non starter for me. If anyone thinks I'd be better served with the 18-7.5/8 tires please show me the way without rubbing or vibrating. Thanks in advance.
