Can an 06 430 have 18" wheels without sport package?
Wassup CL just like the title says I'm considering an 06 LS that has 18 inch low profile tires and was wondering is it possible for the car to come with those wheels without the sport package? How can one tell if the car is equipped with sport package?

Yes, the 18" wheel package was a separate $220 option which is odd since the sport suspension with 18" wheels was the same price. Or a previous owner could have changed the wheels after the car was sold new. I've never done it but I think a Lexus dealer can "run the VIN" to get a report of how a car was originally equipped.

Cad, Always a pleasure!!! I missed it are stock wheels on an 06 17's, "yes". No they have to be 18's.
Sports PKG omes with W rated tires also. Mine has v's as replacements. Fully I racked up 200k on my last one now got another think I landed a job yesterday 100 miles each way I will have 200k on this one in no time.

The answer to your question is yes. All cars came as a base with 17s. There were two sport-euro options. One with chrome 18s and the other without. Additionally, there were two 18 inch wheel options, chrome or satin. The sport-euro option was only available with base or modern luxury. Custom and Ultra were not available with the sport-euro. Depending on what part of USA AMD who your dealer was franchisec with when the car was ordered depended on how the car came in. For example, in the Southeast, Southeast Toyota is the Franchise for Lexus and Toyota. they did not order any 06's without some sort of 18 inch package. Mostly just satin, however there were some chromed in all levels. As a busines decision, they did not order any with the base 17s.

Randy, My chromes on the last 04 I owned got pretty oxidized in wisconsin weather but I put 200k on them they looked like dung. Is one finsih more durable to the wet salty weather than the other.

So if I have a 06 with the 18" rims with the Dunlap SP5000M V rated tires that came with the car when it was new I do not have the euro sport tunned option? I would have to have the w rated tires? I thought this car rode too good for the euro tunned option I just bought this car and the Dunlaps it came with were original I can tell by the date they were made. You learn somthing every day

Badge or NO Euro Susp. 04's at least had W rated tires. LS's stock ride wonderful. Euro less nose dive and bounce a bit stiffer on potholes and severe rollers less suspension travel I think.
Asked but never found out ratio of Euro to stock suspension. Pretty rare though pretty much an older guys car, either suspension it is still a heavy car man made to float. Ditch Dunlops get V rated Primacies or Pilots
