I will check tonight, I guess there are some height sensors as you speak. Parts.com is 240 otherwise 400 hun from lexus. Will a Vag Com easily pick up the problem, does it have to nbe a Lexus Vag Com. Off to the car wash to see if somethign is gummed up from all the ice slush but i guess the bracket can break. Another lovely plus for living in the midwest

Probably the left rear sensor that's bad. You will see it on the control arm towards the middle of the car if you look under the driver wheel.
Mine did the same thing.

My 2004 LS430 had about 30k miles on the odometer when the AFS started flashing. Many with the same problem pointed out the two ride height sensors on the front and aft driver side so I decided to check them out.
The sensors and the moving parts were all rusty from the salt from many winters. So I cleaned them and applied CorrosionX on the areas that move with the axle. The problem went away and the headlight aim became normal again. It was very low when the AFS was flashing. This happened a year ago.
I thought i'd give It a try before I spent money on the pricey parts. It's worth giving it a shot.

Rear sensor corrosion
I had the blinking/flashing afs light. The car is a 2004 LS430. I took apart the rear sensor and did exactly what it says in the attached thread. No problem in months of use.
One or more of the springs may be corroded beyond use. Use a copper spring not a metal pen spring. I bent a piece of copper wire. Saved me $3-400 for a rear sensor.
